The Battle of Flowers^® Association and the Battle of Flowers® Band Festival will sponsor the annual competition for area high school students to design the cover used for the 2012 Band Festival program. The deadline for entries is January 27, 2012 by 6:00 P.M. From among the entries, thirty drawings will be selected by a local judge, framed and displayed at a reception honoring the students and their art instructors on Sunday, March 25 from 2:00 – 3:30 P.M. at the San Antonio Garden Center, 3310 N. New Braunfels. The top five winners will receive cash rewards for their entries with the winning student’s artistic submission displayed on the cover of over 10,000 Band Festival program. The 74th Band Festival will be held at 6:30 P.M. on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at Alamo Stadium.

For 2011, Fredericksburg High School's Madison Smith created the winning design. Her artwork was selected to be on the cover of the program and she will be treated to a ride in the Battle of Flowers Parade. See the Band Festival Cover Design Contest winners page for additional results.
